Todd Cohen's July 2015 Sales Culture Newsletter

I would like to share some very exciting news with you! I learned this past month that I have earned the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association! This is the highest award a professional speaker can earn from NSA, the largest and oldest professional speakers' organization.

Established in 1980, the CSP is the speaking profession's international measure of speaking experience and excellence. Fewer than 10 percent of NSA members hold this professional designation. The CSP designation is conferred by the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the International Federation of Professional Speakers (IFPS) only on accomplished professional speakers who have earned it by meeting strict criteria. I started the application process about a year ago and I am so honored and excited to be selected to join the ranks of some truly amazing speakers whom I look up to and consider mentors and friends.

I could not have possibly done this alone. I am forever indebted to every single client who took a chance on me and invited me into their organization to talk about Sales Culture. I am deeply grateful for my friends and colleagues who believed I could do this and encouraged me every day for the last 8 years when I started this journey. I am beyond appreciative to every speaker who I asked a million questions of and from whom I have learned the speaking business. I am so fortunate to have such loyal readers of this newsletter.

To all of you, I have only to say…"Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you."

In this edition of my Sales Culture Newsletter, I hope you will enjoy my two latest articles for you. The first is on "Reinvention Is Key to All Success. Get Started!" and what you can do to change things up and inject fresh energy into your sales and professional activities. The second article is all about creating the "Perfect Target List." We all have things we want to accomplish, and starting with a target list that lets us channel our energy and focus the right way is very important.

Reinvention Is Key to All Success. Get Started!

Feeling stale? Like it's groundhog day and everything is the same? If you are feeling like this, then it's probably true…and you better make some changes, fast. It's a hard and judgmental world, and people have less time and tolerance. This means that we need to stay fresh and reinvent what we do, our messages, and ourselves as often as needed. The access we have to information is unprecedented, and if you are not reinventing to be the purveyor of information, then you are going to be seen as yesterday's news. But don't fret! Reinvention is fun, and the best part is no one can say "no" to you or say that "you can't do that" or "you're not allowed to freshen up" and create a new "you."
