Are you a sales apologist? Do you feel as if you have to apologize if you do anything that feels like "sales" or do you feel uncomfortable asking anyone for something? If so (and we all get attacks of "sales apologistitis"), you'll enjoy this month's lead article! It's meant to be a bit "tongue in cheek."

Finally, as I always get to say in my November newsletter, Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday. I am thankful for so much, and it's my time to let you know how much I am thankful for you.

Are You a Sales Apologist?

After a recent keynote, an attendee came up to me and said, "Thank you for your message today. I am tired of feeling as if I need to apologize for anything I do that seems like sales." His comment made me begin to think about people who are sales apologists – those people who sell every day (everyone) and deny it (almost everyone). Hey I get it! I do! There are times that we don't want to come off as "salesy," but the fact is that we sell ourselves, our goals and needs every day.
